Varsity Chiefs baseball gets back on track with 8-2 win over West Hills
The Chieftain varsity baseball team got back on track Wednesday with an 8-2 win over the West Hills Wolf Pack. Jake Robbins put the team on his back with a monster day at the plate. Robbins blasted two three run home runs in the first and third innings to put the Chiefs out in front 6-0 and they never looked back. Robbins finished the day 2 for 2, with 6 RBI and scored 2 runs. Bo Osland added 3 hits for the Chiefs in the win. The Chiefs pitching remained on point on the day with
Jackson Cleary earning his 4th win of the season going 6 innings striking out 7. Ivan Murrieta came on in the seventh inning to slam the door on the Wolf Pack.
Next up for the Chiefs they will take on the Scripps Ranch Falcons on the road Monday which will kick off possibly the toughest stretch on the schedule playing 4 games in 4 days as they compete in the annual Lions Tournament. First pitch is at 4:00 PM
