On Friday, October 17th we travelled to Canyon Hills for our second time seeing them this season.  Our first meeting was an intense five set match that ultimately ended in a loss for us. We knew going into this match knowing that it was going to be a challenge and that we would need to play tough and smart.  We took the first set 26-24 and then lost the next two.  The fourth set was a battle with neither team getting more than a few points ahead and we took it 25-23.  Our serving was stellar in the 5th set and we got up early and held the lead to take it 15-9!  Freshman Emma Mello had 4 service aces and 14 kills  Our Middles, Kylee Groak and Yanai Rose, were huge at the net getting 7 and 6 blocks, respectively.  Defensively we were led by libero Carly Harris with 22 digs and Molly Mullen with 15.  Our setting duo of Kayden Magill and Jayliana Cade split a total of 36 assists.  Our final league match will be Friday, October 24th against Mira Mesa – our Senior Night!
