It was another win for the Lady Chieftains’ first home game of the season over Hilltop.

Iris Hallin #19 scored a goal off of a ground ball to start the quarter.  Then Addy Gennerman #11 scored a goal off a great assist from Autumn Hingle #23 to go up 2-0.  Mya Gennerman #10, Natalia Urzua #20, and Penelope McCormack #7 had interceptions.  Good defense to hold Hilltop scoreless.

In the second quarter Hilltop scored to make it 2-1.  There were many ground balls and we came out getting 21 in the first half.  Jennifer Ordoukhanian # 27 recovered 4 ground balls, Addy Gennerman had 4 ground balls and Natalia Urzua had 3.

Starting the second half Iris scored off of a ground ball and Autumn had an interception and an assist to Mya for a goal bringing the score to 4-1.  Hilltop answered with a goal for 4-2.

In the fourth quarter Iris got the draw and Mya scored off a ground ball for a final score of 5-2 for the win.  The defense played great causing 14 Hilltop turnovers.  Our goalie Amara had 11 saves.
