Clairemont Varsity Chiefs continue to roll with a 6-3 win over Steele Canyon
Varsity baseball continued their perfect start to the season on Friday beating the Steele Canyon Cougars to extend their winning streak to nine straight. The Cougars had a lot to say, but Jake Robbins and the Chiefs ended up with the last word. Robbins was stellar on the mound going 6 innings and striking out 10, while only giving up 2 runs. If that wasn’t enough Robbins also contributed with his bat going 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs Colton Daudet added 2 hits on the day which included his second home run of the season which tied the score in the 3rd inning and the Chiefs never looked back. Bo Osland added 2 hits for the Chiefs while the team totaled 9 hits on the day.
Next up for the Chieftains is a tough road matchup with the Otay Ranch Mustangs Monday at 4:00 PM
