Chiefs Baseball Stays Hot in the Desert


Clairmont varsity Chiefs baseball team traveled to the desert, dealt with 90-degree heat, and came home 6-0 after handing the Imperial Tigers 13-5 defeat. The Chiefs bats were hot led by and inspired performance by Bo Osland going 3-5, with 5 RBIs. Colton Daudet added two hits for the Chiefs and Luis Murrieta scored three runs from the leadoff spot to pace the scoring. Darin Dietrich put the icing on the cake in the bottom of the 6th inning with a two-run double which ended any hope of a Tiger comeback in the late innings.

Chiefs pitching continued to be on fire with Jake Robbins going five and two thirds’ innings striking out five and giving up four runs. Ivan Murrieta came in to close the door, allowing only one run on one hit and collected the final five outs of the game.

Next up for the Chiefs is a home matchup with the Mater Dai Crusaders on Monday.
