Chiefs’ Field Hockey beats Olympian’s Eagles

The Lady Chiefs had another tough match up at home today against the Olympian Eagles.  A competitive first quarter remained scoreless until Grace Brown (Sr) capitalized off a corner penalty in the last 30 seconds to put the Chiefs in the lead.  With the momentum in their favor, Iris Hallin (Sr) extended the Chiefs’ lead on another corner penalty to take the Chiefs up 2-0 into halftime.

The Eagles held the Lady Chieftains scoreless in the third, but an amazing fourth quarter goal cemented the win as Grace Brown (Sr) knocked the ball to Iris Hallin (Sr) who was perfectly positioned to volley it in.

The Chiefs’ defensive wall logged their 6th shut-out of the season, and tonight’s win brings the team’s record to 8-1.  Next game is 2/23  at 4pm on the road against Eastlake.  Go Chiefs!
